Yellowstone Star Cole Hauser Promoted Coffee Brand 1 Day After Taylor Sheridan’s Lawsuit Filing

Not in the (coffee) drinking mood.

“Yellowstone” star Cole Hauser promoted his coffee brand, Free Rein, just 24 hours after show creator Taylor Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch filed a suit against Hauser’s new company.

“Morning cruise @freereincoffeecompany get up and get after it!” the “2 Fast 2 Furious’ actor, 48, penned on social media.

He shared the post alongside a snapshot of himself drinking a cup of Joe while riding a sailboat by the sunrise.

The picture was posted on Nov. 22 — just one day after Sheridan, 53, registered his case on Nov. 21.

The document was filed in Northern District of Texas’ federal court in San Angelo for trademark infringement.

The court docs cited unfair competition and false advertising, claiming that Free Rein and Bosque Ranch’s logos are too similar.

Both companies use a familiar symbol, with the letters B and R interlocking.

The “Break-Up” actor and the “Wind River” director were actually quite the pals before the java drama went down.

Hauser — who plays cowboy Rip Wheeler on the Paramount+ Western series — gushed over Sheridan in a May interview with WFAA.

“It was very natural in the sense that Taylor and I got to know each other very well. We’re out in the middle of nowhere, in Utah at times, and in Montana, and we just became dear friends,” he explained.

“And when you spend time with people, especially as a writer like him, he takes little kind of interesting things, whether it’s who I am as a person, who he is as a person, the things we care about, that we want to talk about in society. And he found that Rip was a good vessel for that,” Hauser added.

However, in a resurfaced chat with Men’s Journal, the “White Oleander” star recalled getting into a physical altercation with Sheridan when they first met in the 1990s.

Hauser had appeared in hit films such as “School Ties” (1992) and “Good Will Hunting” (1997) at the time, and Sheridan was in his circle of friends with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

“Does a bear s – – t in the woods? I’ve probably been in one on every continent,” Hauser joked about getting into fights over the years.

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with fighting,” he said. “Sometimes I’m just tired of words, so let’s beat the s – – t out of each other. Maybe at the end of it you’ll buy me a Guinness and I’ll buy you a Bushmills, and we’ll be done. It’s kind of what guys do.”

In a 2020 interview with Ryen Russillo on his podcast, Hauser even labeled Sheridan as “a really intense guy.”

“He’s one of those guys who works his ass off ’til it’s over, and when it’s over, he likes to have a nice drink and enjoy himself,” Hauser noted.

Last month, it was confirmed that the final episodes of “Yellowstone” (Part 2 of Season 5) will premiere in November 2024.
