The Young and the Restless C&G News
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring, or day-player roles? Are any well-remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.

The week of October 2, 2023
Hayley Erin returns to the Y&R fold this week, but not as Abby Newman, the role she played from 2008 to 2010. This time around she’s portraying Claire Grace. Interestingly enough, she’ll immediately share scenes with Melissa Ordway, the show’s current Abby. After leaving Y&R, Erin went on to play Kiki Jerome (2015 to 2018; 2019) on General Hospital.

After a long absence, Jess Walton resurfaces in Genoa City as Jill Abbott. Walton begins her latest visit to the soap on Thursday, October 5. The character appeared in a video call with Bryton James’ Devon Winters, Christel Khalil’s Lily Winters, and Eric Braeden’s Victor Newman, last.

Tricia Cast will soon be heading back to the soap as Nina Webster. Lauralee Bell, who plays Christine Williams, shared a photo of herself with Cast and revealed the news. Cast originally played Nina from 1986 to 2001 and has popped in and out over the years. She made her last appearance in March.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. For more about what’s coming up in Genoa City, check out all the latest Y&R spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history.
