Chrisley Knows Best: Todd Speaks Out — Says Food In Prison Is “Filthy”
USA Network’s Todd Chrisley gave an interview on December 7. The audience could finally hear directly from the Chrisley Knows Best star. News Nation’s Brian Entin did the telephone interview. And Todd shared the harrowing details about his life in prison.
The popular star got to tell the world about the abysmal state of things. Most of the things Todd said were similar to what Savannah had described. However, one thing really stood out. He had spoken about the food conditions. Todd had called prison food “disgustingly filthy.”
The Chrisley Knows Best star had described how the food was “at minimum, a year” past the expiry date. Todd also explained how the prison “literally” starved the inmates “to death.” And that they were given only “a thousand calories a day”.
While talking about what he ate, the star mentioned tuna and peanut butter. Todd also said that he ate what he could “buy from (the) commissary. But the warden is trying to “break” him by “cutting down” the amount prisoners can buy. Todd had said that he could “buy 12 packs of tuna a week”. But that was before the new warden had arrived. And now, she had “cut it down to six” and then “to three.”
Todd also added that the food storage facilities had squirrels and mice. He also said the authorities had to remove a ceiling because it had black mold. The Chrisley Knows Best star had said that “they found a dead cat in the ceiling”. And that it had “dropped down on to the food.”
Chrisley Knows Best: Todd Reveals Savannah Was Blackmailed For His Safety
In his interview, Todd revealed many things. The audience got to know about the absolutely pathetic living conditions. He also revealed how bad the food was. But Todd’s reveal about his daughter Savannah’s blackmail surprised the audience the most.
Todd revealed that someone had taken his photographs while he was sleeping. They then used these photos to blackmail Savannah, asking her “$2,600 per month” for Todd’s “protection.” Fans and the audience were worried for Todd and Savannah. And this revelation creeped them out more.
Furthermore, the Chrisley Knows Best star added that the staff wished to “humble” him. And they wanted to use “diesel therapy” and “shackles” for it. To break the star further, prison authorities also tried to restrict his interactions with Julie. Chrisley described how they “hold” his emails and then “hold them on” Julie’s end. In fact, sometimes Julie “may not get” Todd’s emails “for five days.”
