Savannah Chrisley has been in the limelight for a long time now. With her appearance on Chrisley Knows Best and the news of her parents’ trial, she is used to the attention. Savannah, however, is still finding her footing – juggling parenting and everyday life.
Though in her recent posts, the star seems happy and connected with ‘someone.’ She debuted her new partner on social media on Saturday, and the two look very much in love. The public announcement cleared the ‘who’ part of Savannah’s relationship status. And the audience reaction was varied, to say the least.
Chrisley Knows Best: Savannah Showcases New Beau On Instagram
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, Savannah Chrisley posted a very PDA-filled photo carousel on Instagram. With the post, she made her relationship with ex-footballer Robert Shiver Instagram official.
The photo carousel consisted of three photos. In the first one, Robert had a huge smile on his face, facing the cameras. The Chrisley Knows Best star, on the other hand, was facing him, with her body pressed against him.
Savannah had her hand on her thigh and her phone shoved in the back pocket of her jeans. In the second photo, Robert seemed to be looking at her, who continued looking into his eyes. The ex-footballer seemed to be leaning into her face, and both continued smiling while growing teasingly close.
The last photo of the bunch was the icing on the cake, where Robert and Savannah shared a very steamy kiss with Robert’s hand on Chrisley’s back. Savannah’s hand never left her thigh. The photo’s caption read, “Sometimes… it just works”. She had also tagged Shiver in the post, leading fans to check out his profile. Some fans even tried to follow him, but since the ex-footballer had a private account, they could not do so.
Fans were quick to comment on the photo. However, the one comment that really shined was of Savannah’s brother and her Chrisley Knows Best co-star Chase, who wrote, “What the hell is?”. The comment got 4000 likes. And just like that, it got the fans talking. Some people didn’t like the fact that the younger Chrisley sister was dating someone so soon after her ex Nic’s death.
Many of her fans had reminded her of her claim of not dating while her parents were still in prison. Others were grossed out by the relationship, arguing that Robert was, legally, still a married man. Some fans had been supportive of her relationship as well. But this faction was way too small.
Talking about her relationship and the man she was with, Savannah said, “I think this has just shown me that you can find beauty in the ashes. And so for that, wherever it leads, I’m grateful.” She also mentioned that Robert was a great influence on Chloe and Grayson as well.
Chrisley Knows Best: Savannah & Robert Were Seen Together In September
Before the Instagram story and everything else, Savannah and Robert were seen together at the LA International Airport in September. The Chrisley Knows Best star was all smiles, in a white t-shirt, loose-fitted fitted blue jeans, and a designer bag. Robert, however, wore a black shirt and blue jeans and hauled just one backpack. He also had a cross necklace and baseball cap.
This had prompted their dating rumors. The younger Chrisley sister had then hinted at her relationship with the ex-football star in a ‘The Viall Files’ podcast. Savannah had hinted that her beau was famous “but not for good reasons,” further hinting that “he was too hot to die”. The podcast host had quickly drawn inferences, which Savannah had verified.
Looking back at the episode, the star had addressed her ‘confirmation’ with PEOPLE, stating how she had learned “not to drink wine before going on a podcast.” She was also grateful for having Robert in her life.
