Julie and Todd are going through some very tough times. The former millionaires must survive in “moldy” prisons with scarce amenities. As an affluent family, this is indeed a tough thing for the Chrisley Knows Best duo, but they have to make do. The problems haven’t decreased, though.

As a means to pass time and cope, Julie started writing about her time in prison in a journal. Savannah has been sharing this journal’s excerpts on her Unlocked podcast. They are a part of her “Prison Diaries” series. She shared how her parents felt when they were going to prison and how Julie spent her time. In a new installment, Savannah reads that Julie prepared a Thanksgiving feast in prison.

In her April 2 episode, Savannah read Julie had “decided to cook for Thanksgiving.” She was going “to do it” even after her initial reluctance. Julie cooked “chicken and stuffing casseroles” with “chips and dip” for 10 of her inmates. Some other “ladies made (the) dessert.” While this is a simple feast, the ex Chrisley Knows Best star said cooking in prison was “a chore.”

Julie described how they cooked “on radiators in winter.” They used “hot water and a small Rubbermaid orange cooler for summer.” However, the absence of refrigerators, knives, staples, and spices made things a bit difficult. But the star was happy to “just sit around a table” with the others. She said “prison unites” people in a way.

Chrisley Knows Best: Savannah Is Proud Of Her Mother!

Every child looks up to their parent. It doesn’t matter if you are a celebrity or a commoner; your parents are always your role models. The same is the case with the Chrisley Knows Best kids. All the kids, especially Savannah, idolize Julie and Todd. In fact, Savannah is really proud of the way her mom handled her prison experience.

After reading the recent diary excerpt, Savannah was a little emotional. Then, she mentioned how her mom had always been “thankful” for everything, and it was the same in prison. Julie had found her Thanksgiving experience comforting. Savannah was proud of her mother’s resilience.
