Tulsa King Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Story, Trailer & Everything We Know
Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan has found even more success with his latest cowboy/mafia drama, Tulsa King. The show centers around a mobster who is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma after finishing a lengthy prison sentence. After assembling a rag-tag crew of misfits, Dwight (Sylvester Stallone) seeks to build his own family and take over Tulsa. With the show’s success, there is much anticipation around the second season, especially after the inconclusive finale of season 1.
Although it seemed like Dwight and company would have a happy ending, the finale ended on a cliffhanger. Dwight was finally caught by the ATF/FBI. With the last scene of Tulsa King season 1 showing Dwight’s daughter Tina (Tatiana Zappardino) reliving her traumatic childhood by watching her father leave in handcuffs again, the ending left many questions unanswered. However, some good news is that Paramount+’s Tulsa King has been renewed for a second season. Here are all the latest Tulsa King season 2 updates audiences might’ve missed.
Tulsa King Season 2: Latest News
A Full Trailer Is Revealed
With the sophomore season’s September release date drawing closer, the latest news comes in the form of a full trailer for Tulsa King season 2. As the song “Get By” by Jelly Roll underscores the scene, the trailer reintroduces Dwight after the events of season 1. Even as the reformed mobster tries to go straight, the arrival of a new foe, played by Frank Grillo, forces him to revert to his old ways to protect the territory he believes is rightly his. Though Dwight faced challenges in season 1, season 2 has upped the ante.
Tulsa King Season 2 Release Date
Stallone Returns In September 2024
Because of the long delays that hampered the series, Tulsa King‘s release date has been teased at various points since season 2 was confirmed. Originally promised to arrive in fall 2024, the Paramount+ original has delivered and will now begin airing on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Tulsa King Season 2 Cast
New Villains To Challenge Dwight’s Empire
With the show’s success and most of the Tulsa King cast surviving the final season 1 confrontation, it is assumed all the key players will reprise their roles in the next season. This includes Sylvester Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who has been the biggest attraction of the Taylor Sheridan vehicle. The only change in the cast thus far is a positive one, as Annabella Sciorra and Tatiana Zappardino have been promoted to series regulars. Sciorra plays Dwight’s sister, Joanne, while Tatiana Zappardino plays his estranged daughter, Tina Manfredi-Gieger.
New cast members include Frank Grillo who will apparently play the new villain of season 2. The MCU veteran is also known for his role in the Purge franchise and he will be playing Kansas City mobster Bill Bevilaqua who is trying to establish new territory in Tulsa. Another new tough for Dwight to scrap with in season 2 is Neil McDonough’s Cal Thresher, a businessman in town who doesn’t take kindly to Dwight’s budding empire.

Tulsa King Season 2 Story Detail
Season 1 Ended On A Massive Cliffhanger
Dwight and his crew were able to defeat a rival biker gang led by a local kingpin named Waltrip (Ritchie Coster), but he still has a few enemies lurking about. Stacy Beale, Dwight’s love interest throughout the first season, betrayed him and had him arrested during the finale. According to Stallone, Dwight is still dealing with his legal troubles in season 2. Stacy isn’t the only one gunning for Dwight, as he still has Chickie, the new boss of the Invernizzi family, plotting his revenge after being threatened by Dwight in the finale.

The Questions Tulsa King Season 2 Can Answer
Dwight’s Story Is Far From Over After Season 1
Tulsa King season 2 has a lot of big questions to ask following the end of the first season. The biggest one is obviously Dwight’s fate after he is arrested in the Tulsa King‘s season 1 finale. That also brings his relationship with Stacy into question. She was willing to bend the rules and put her career on the line for him only to betray him by turning him in. Will they rekindle their romance or are they enemies now?
There is also the question of who will step in as the new villain in season 2. Caolan Waltrip was an appropriately detestable and ruthless foe for Dwight to go up against, but in the end, Dwight and the others made short work of him. Chickie seems likely to step up as the next major threat after killing his own father to take control of the family business. Though Dwight was able to back him down, it seems unlikely he will forget and will come for everything Dwight built in Tulsa King season 2.
