Cole Hauser Shares What His Daughter Gets “Uncomfortable” Watching Beth & Rip’s Steamy Scenes On ‘Yellowstone’

You know, I’ve always wondered this.

How does an actor’s kids feel when they watch their dad or mom on screen kissing, or fake doing the dirty with somebody who isn’t their mom or dad? Or a spouse for that matter?

Of course, there’s nothing truly intimate about it at all, as that’s what actors and actresses sign up for from day one.

However, I could definitely imagine the kids feel a bit uncomfortable and confused while watching scenes like that. Then again, Yellowstone probably isn’t really for kids in the first place… we know Kevin Costner doesn’t let his kids watch it.

We all know Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton as the lovers who were simply made to be together in Yellowstone. But, of course, Cole Hauser (Rip) and Kelly Reilly (Beth) are married to different people, and Cole has three kids of his own.

So, how does Cole’s kids react when they watch Rip getting intimate with Beth on screen?

According to FOX News, Hauser and his wife Cynthia Daniel admitted on the red carpet at the Golden Globes that it definitely makes their 10-year-old daughter, Steely Rose, a bit uncomfortable.

Daniel said:

“It makes her really uncomfortable.”

Hauser added:

“Especially at first. She was like, ‘What the hell was that?’”

He added that she:

“She almost ran out of the room pissed off.”

However, the two admitted that she has since gotten used to it, and definitely understands that the two are simply playing characters on a TV show.

Daniel also admitted that it can be uncomfortable for herself as well:

“I mean, I have to say the first episode was Cole slamming Beth against the wall, having sex and making out, so it was a little intense, but like I said Kelly is such a cool girl, and she makes it very comfortable.”

Daniel, a former actress herself, also added that she loves Beth and Rip’s characters together, and Hauser said Reilly is really like a sister to him.

The two also noted that their family has gotten really close with Reilly and her husband Kyle Baugher, and they’ve basically become family.

But, as far as Yellowstone goes, it truly is sad that we’re going to have to wait until summer to watch the second half of season five premier.

However, we still have the prequel series 1923 to look forward to, as things are just now starting to heat up big time, although it doesn’t kickstart again until February.
